If not easy on the eye, it would be hard not to see any County as other than a star at work. Even today some are srill hard at it in at least their third decade. I have a gut feeling that a New Holand will not have the longevity of a County. Time will tell !

Its a beauty to my eyes, I know of three still outworking their modern counterparts in Fenland. Last years rain showed their strengths, often used to tow lesser breeds out of mud!
And Mitch if you read that it was aimed at you and your JD!

This should be listed under County tractors as it is not a ford it uses a ford skid unit and ford industrial engine all made up in County's mixing pot to produce a tractor that when fitted with the size of plough it was designed for delivers near perfect weight distribution over the two axles with low centre of gravity, 4 wheel braking will out perform many newer 4wd tractors of greater hp on steep sloping land

A boatyard in Southampton uses a County to launch boats - so it takes a regular "dip". How it puts up with all that salt I don't know ! Certainly not much point taking a trip back across the "county" to Fleet for an overhaul these days. The factory is houses now I believe.
